PortsToronto Extends Airport Ferry Service to All Vehicles While City Ferry Repaired
Toronto (October 18, 2018) – The Ongiara, the ferry operated by the City of Toronto’s Parks, Forestry and Recreation department, which runs between Queen’s Quay and the Toronto Islands, will be out of service as part of a planned dry dock effective October 22 until early December 2018.
Recognizing the challenges inherent in a temporary change in the City’s ferry service, PortsToronto will support the City of Toronto by temporarily extending service via the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport ferry to all vehicles, including personal, requiring transportation to and from the mainland while repairs are completed on the Ongiara.
Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport will work with its partners and airlines to ensure the safe passage of vehicles and minimize interference with airport operations.
