PortsToronto to hold Second Land Use Plan Public Information Session on July 23
Toronto (July 9, 2024) – PortsToronto is holding a second public information session on the Land Use Plan on Tuesday, July 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Land Use Plan will identify and articulate the vision for the future of the Port of Toronto, factoring in social, economic and environmental factors as well as the changing context of Toronto’s waterfront.
As a Federal business enterprise accountable to Transport Canada, PortsToronto and its landholdings operate under the Canada Marine Act and its Letters Patent. Section 48(1) of the Canada Marine Act requires Port Authorities to undertake a Land Use Plan.
The first round of public engagement was held in September of 2023 and has informed the preparation of the Plan. This second (and final) round of public engagement will focus on the Land Use Plan.
