Request for Proposals (Auditor)

The Toronto Port Authority, doing business as PortsToronto (“PortsToronto”) invites proposals for the appointment of Auditor.  The term of the engagement is for five years commencing from the close of the annual meeting of PortsToronto, to be held in June 2024, until the close of the annual meeting to be held in 2029, subject to reappointment at each annual meeting.
 
PortsToronto was established in June 1999 under the Canada Marine Act as successor to the former Toronto Harbour Commissioners. PortsToronto is governed by a nine-member Board, appointed as per subsection 14(1) of the Canada Marine Act, and as per section 4.6 of the Authority’s Letters Patent.
 
PortsToronto has five business units which include the Port of Toronto, Outer Harbour Marina, Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, Property and Corporate Administration with a combined total operating budget of $85 million annually.

PortsToronto is not required to accept any proposal and the lowest proposal will not necessarily be accepted.
