PortsToronto Board of Directors Vacancy – Class 2 (Airport) User Group

The Toronto Port Authority, doing business as PortsToronto, is a federal business enterprise that proudly owns and operates the Port of Toronto, the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and the Outer Harbour Marina.
 
PortsToronto’s Class 2 (Airport) User Nominating Committee (the “Committee”) is seeking applications for qualified individuals for appointment to PortsToronto’s Board of Directors.
 
Eligible candidates must have (a) generally acknowledged and accepted stature within the transportation industry or the business community, and (b) relevant knowledge and extensive experience related to the management of a business, to the operation of a port or to maritime trade.  We are particularly interested in individuals who have experience in aerospace and/or airport or other aviation related fields (including but not limited to airline operations, private pilot experience, etc.).  Alternatively, expertise in civil engineering or environmental engineering, planning, compliance, protection, etc. is also desirable.
 
In an effort to achieve gender parity and to reflect Canada’s diversity, the Committee will consider individuals from diverse backgrounds having regard to gender, ethnicity/Aboriginal status, disabilities, language proficiency, age and geographic background.

  1. Curriculum vitae demonstrating that the candidate meets or exceeds the minimum education and experience requirements for the position, including the candidate’s name, address, email address and telephone;
  2. A statement indicating that the candidate desires to be considered for appointment as a User Director and confirmation that the candidate is not ineligible for appointment pursuant to Section 16 of the Canada Marine Act.
