27/06/2024

Toronto (June 27, 2024) — PortsToronto today released its ninth-annual Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) report, marking a significant milestone as the first report issued following the formalization of the organization’s ESG strategy in 2023.

This year’s report underscores PortsToronto’s dedication to minimizing impact and integrating sustainable practices throughout its operations, including Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, the marine Port of Toronto and the Outer Harbour Marina. The technical report, which provides a detailed accounting of PortsToronto’s value creation across the six capitals – Natural, Human, Social, Intellectual, Financial and Manufactured – focuses on the ESG topics that our stakeholders have deemed most significant to our business.

We have prioritized reporting on topics our stakeholders consider crucial, and have improved our data collection and disclosures,” said RJ Steenstra, President and CEO, PortsToronto. “These efforts not only contribute to building prosperity for people and the planet but also help us become a more resilient business that is an employer of choice, has a strong social license to operate, and one that maximizes positive impact on its employees and communities.”
