2024 Port Fees

Effective Date: April 1, 2024

Vessel, Cargo and Passenger Fees

Short term berthage
1)     $0.090 per tonne of Gross Registered Tonnage (GRT) for the first 12 hours
2)     $0.090 per tonne of GRT for the second 12 hours
3)     $0.046 per tonne of GRT for each subsequent 12 hours

Long term berthage
1)      for vessel 100m or less – $0.72 x length of vessel (in metres) per 24 hours
2)      for vessel over 100m – $1.08 x length of vessel (in metres) per 24 hours

Harbour Due – Cargo Vessels and Cruise Ships
(Applicable for the first 5 visits of each calendar year)
1)     $0.041 per tonne of Gross Registered Tonnage (GRT) for Canadian registered vessels
2)     $0.082 per tonne of Gross Registered Tonnage (GRT) for Foreign registered vessels

Harbour Due – Harbour bound tugs & barges
1)     $203.00 per year if under 100 MT
2)     $406.00 per year if over 100 MT
3)     $1,218.00 per year if over 200 MT

Cargo
The port handles various types of cargo. Rates for project cargo and other types of cargo are available from the Port of Toronto upon request.

Harbour Tour Vessels
Annual passenger user fee: $12.75 per passenger capacity of vessel

Summer berthing fee (May – October 2024): $186.00 x length of vessel in feet
Winter berthing fee (November 2024 – April 2025): $64.95 x length  of vessel in feet

Cruise Vessels

1)     Passenger user fee is $15.00 for each embarking  / disembarking passenger
2)     Passenger X-ray baggage fee is $5.00 per passenger

City of Toronto Ferries

The annual passenger user fee is $17.45 / passenger capacity of the vessel.

Harbour Master Authorizations

PortsToronto provides authorizations for activities that take place within its jurisdiction.

Powered Vessel Operator’s Permit

Recreational boaters operating a powered vessel within the Port and Harbour of Toronto must be in possession Powered Vessel Operator’s Permit.
